*Under supervision of Shirley Liao Ph.D. PSY22273

Ji-Sun is passionate about creating a supportive, compassionate, and safe space where teens, adults, and couples can bring all parts of themselves and feel heard and understood. She believes the relationship between client and therapist is crucial to healing and growth. With a genuine commitment to her client's well-being, Ji-Sun supports them as they navigate life transitions, heal from past traumas, overcome shame, anxiety, depression, process grief, strengthen their identity, spirituality and enhance their relationships.

Ji-Sun works primarily through a relational psychodynamic approach while tailoring treatment to her client’s needs. Ji-Sun explores with sensitivity and compassion how early childhood experiences influence her clients’ current perceptions of themselves and the world around them. Ji-Sun believes that when people understand the roots of their unhealthy patterns and integrate all parts of themselves in a holistic and non-judgmental way, growth and new choices occur.

As a Korean American who lived for years in Latin America, Ji-Sun enjoys and is comfortable working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. She recognizes the vital role that culture plays in shaping individuals' identities and experiences. By honoring and valuing all aspects of her clients' identities, Ji-Sun hopes to create an inclusive environment that fosters trust, understanding, and growth.

Ji-Sun is fluent in Spanish and English and can provide psychotherapy in either of the two languages. She is also able to communicate in conversational Korean.
